Invite your team and fix access problems

Add people to the correct tenant and diagnose permission errors without granting everyone administrator access.

Start here

A person’s login and their membership in your organization are separate. Access requires an active membership in the workspace they are trying to use.

Set up your team

  1. As an administrator, open Settings → Team members. Add or edit the person using their actual sign-in email.
  2. Choose the appropriate role and confirm the membership is active. Use Roles & permissions to review what that role can do.
  3. Use the member’s Copy invite link action and share that link through your normal channel. Copying a link does not mean Deepwater has sent an invitation email.
  4. Have the person open the link, finish sign-in and choose the intended organization.

Check and recover

If a person can sign in but cannot see a record, check their organization first, then their role, ownership and team-based visibility. Seeing a company does not automatically grant access to every related record.

If an entire menu item is missing, check Settings → Navigation. Navigation can hide a page without deleting its data. Showing the menu does not grant the permissions needed to use it.

If a purchase, schema change or settings action is blocked, confirm that it requires an administrator. An agent identity is not a substitute for the required human authority. Keep access changes specific to the work the person needs to do.

When to contact the team

Escalate if the membership, organization, permissions and visibility are correct but the same action still fails. Include the page, action and error, plus whether another authorized person can reproduce it.
